Parent Code of Conduct

We ask all parents, players, coaches, and spectators to support these values both on and off the court.

SWYBB Parent Code of Conduct

The South Western Youth Basketball Organization exists to provide the best possible environment in which YOUTH can learn the fundamentals of the game of BASKETBALL. Good sportsmanship will be stressed as skills are taught in practice and further developed in competitive LEAGUE games.

  • I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of any personal desire to win.
  • I will insist that my child play in a safe and healthy environment.
  • I will respect the facilities used for practices and games, and be responsible for those under my control to do the same.
  • I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect.
  • I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every practice and game.
  • I will remember that the game is for children and not adults.
  • I will NOT address coaches before, during, or after a game.
  • I will conduct myself in a positive manner before, during, and after a game.
  • I understand that by threatening another parent, coach, board member, player, member of the custodial staff, or any other individual not listed may result in the immediate removal of myself and player from the South Western Youth Basketball Organization.

Violations will result in: Immediate Removal of Player from the Organization. SWYBB has a ZERO tolerance policy.
